Q1. Why did you choose Shinko Express?
I used to work in the customer service industry at a different company, and I was interested in how the overseas-made products I handled got to Japan.
When I was looking for a new job, I came across a recruitment ad from Shinko Express and applied because I thought I could gain highly specialized skills at a local customs brokerage.
Q2. What was the first job you did after joining the company?
The first job I was responsible for was submitting documents to the relevant authorities and attending customs inspections.
I was a complete novice and didn't know what to do, but with the careful guidance of senior employees, I gradually learned about the flow of customs clearance procedures and legal regulations, and in my third year I was able to obtain my customs broker qualification.
Q3. What is your current job?
We are mainly responsible for customs clearance procedures for international cargo such as food and miscellaneous goods bound for overseas destinations.
We receive shipment information and documents from our customers, handle customs and regulatory procedures, and support smooth import and export processes.
Q4. What is the most enjoyable thing about your job?
We were once asked to carry out complex customs procedures that were rare under the jurisdiction of the Kobe Customs Office, but despite feeling our way around, and with the help of other employees, we were able to complete the import without any major issues.
I was extremely happy when the customer expressed their gratitude by saying, "I'm glad we entrusted this job to Shinko Express."
Q5. How do you spend your holidays?
When I go for walks or hikes to get in touch with nature, I take photos of beautiful scenery that leaves an impression on me, or I refresh myself by watching a movie at home.
